Delighted to be one of 40 Digital Women to Watch in 2020

I am delighted to be nominated as a finalist in the Digital Role Model of the Year, Digital Community Leader of the Year, and one of the 40 Digital Women to Watch. As well as being a huge boost to my confidence, it is great to be recognised for the work I’ve done in design for digital as someone who already has a reputation for print! I’m sure this will bring huge benefits to Hello Lovely and clients, old and new.

I set out to create a new life after coming to terms with a life unexpected. Hello Lovely is my design business that allows me to multi-hyhen my work and support the childless not by choice community so it’s also in part, for something else that I do - a podcast! Two of the most important people in my life are Michael Hughes from Australia and Sarah Lawrence, based in the UK. We have teamed up to establish the Full Stop podcast which we do voluntarily in order to bring a voice to those who also live a life unexpected through involuntary childlessness. We lead by example, with honest, integrity, a few tears and lots of laughter. This award is for Sarah and Michael, and our many guests and supporters as much as it is for me, as I simply couldn’t do it without them.

I wish all those who are nominated with me, every success!

The DigitalWomen Awards in association with Natwest Business and the Federation of Small Businesses celebrate women working in digital and digital business from their amazing community and beyond who are doing the most incredible work in the digital space they operate in, those who are making the right moves and going beyond and above what is usually expected. The awards are open to any woman working in digital and entrepreneurship and entrants go through a rigorous judging process by their esteemed panel.

Lucy Hall Director of Avviso Media Ltd and Founder of DigitalWomen said: “We are very excited to bring the DigitalWomen awards to the female digital and business community and beyond, these awards are the perfect opportunity to showcase and raise profiles of women doing great work.

This isn’t a list of Digital Marketers or the Most Influential in People in Digital. This is a list to showcase women who have been doing great work, the backgrounds and stories of these women are very different and makes for an intriguing read. These women are using Digital in their work life and are achieving greatly, whether they run a business, work for a company , freelance or just want to do better. Many of these women aren’t being showcased for the work they are doing. So we are setting about changing that.

Along with our mission to empower and skill women in digital we also think it’s really important to raise the profiles and show the world just who these incredible women are. If you’ve been following us, you would have seen some of the DigitalWomen Awards shortlists go out and seen stories and achievements of many women who are doing great work.”
