NEW PODCAST launching Spring 2025
Secret Lives of Fonts
The Secret Lives of Fonts podcast demystifies the fascinating world of fonts and typography. Type is everywhere. You engaged with a font if you read a cereal packet at breakfast, used the Underground or an app on your phone today.
You’re doing it right now!
Few of us stop to think about the stories they tell, the emotions they evoke, or the impact they have on our daily lives. This podcast unveils the hidden stories behind the letters we read every day, making the world of typography accessible, entertaining, and relatable.
Whether you’re a keen creative or someone who’s never thought about fonts before, this podcast promises to open your eyes to a world hiding in plain sight!
Speaking experience
I have delivered talks on various design disciplines, including lectures at Anglia Ruskin University, and shared insights from my design and publishing experience at events such as The Association of Jewish Refugees book launch, The Balsham Map Project in collaboration with London Charterhouse, and the Storyhouse Theatre for author Robert Nurden’s book launch.
I have presented at Fertility Fest and appeared as a guest on Soho Radio with Bibi Lynch. As a member of a Focus Group for Storyhouse Theatre, I contribute to curating panels and topics for a Storyhouse Live event. Additionally, I co-host the Full Stop podcast, bringing my expertise as an experienced podcast presenter, co-host, and guest.
I have been featured as a guest on podcasts such as The Happy Healthy Entrepreneur with Sarah Swanton and The Freelancers Tea Break with Emma Ward, where I discussed business topics. For Drive The Network, and Indie Cambridge have delivered online talks on fonts, book design, and practical design tips for small businesses. My podcast appearances also include Women Making Waves and It’s a Bit More Complicated Than That.
As part of the Pecha Kucha Cambridge organising committee, I supported speakers and took to the stage including an improvised presentation where I spoke to slides I had never seen before!
I have taken courses with The College of Speaking, and I’m inspired by TED Talks by Stefan Sagmeister, Debbie Millman, Candy Chang and Paul Bennett.
