What happens in your website process?
Stage 1 is Site Strategy
The first step is our website strategy meeting. Usually we do this via Zoom, but sometimes face to face. We’'ll gather together so that I can learn about you, your business and your goals for your new website. We’ll come up with the strategy for your site and that will cover how we are handling the content, photography, design, user journeys, user experience and how it’s going to look and feel.
Stage 2 is Site Content
During Stage 1, we’ll have content on the agenda as the words matter, and so do images as they guide the users. We’ll work out how together if you need a copywriter and if you need my help to find a match. Websites need content so this is an important step.
Stage 3 is Site Design
I’ll need to know the branding if you have guidelines. If I’m creating the branding for you, two parts of the project will come together now. I’ll also work on wireframes that guide the content on each page and the way it should appear and support the user. Next comes the creative part, a home page mockup design is produced for your approval before moving on to other key pages.
Stage 4 is Bringing it all together
Once you’re happy with the design, we’ll develop the website and create the rest of the pages. I’ll create the mobile layouts and get everything running behind the scenes.
Stage 5 is Testing, and testing again
This stage is all about checking the site out and making sure all the details are sorted out.
Stage 6 is Go live
We will agree on a suitable date for launching your new site. Then I’ll do the necessary tech stuff to launch the site and talk you through how it works. Then it’s live.
You’ll also get one month of post-launch support and 10% off my retainer contract for ongoing support for the first year.

WEBSITE power hour with a recorded call £150
Complete a bespoke brief and I’ll review your website with you on Zoom for one hour, offering advice on legibility, consistency, fonts, design, flow and copy. We’ll record the call and you’ll get a written report explaining my suggestions on improvements, plug-ins, and SEO including recommended experts who can help you develop the site and take it to the next level or you can do it yourself.

Let's chat
I'll organise a Zoom chat and we'll talk about the pages, your branding and get an idea of what you may need your website to do. Then I'll follow up with a contract if you're happy to go ahead.
Let's get creative
You can send me links to site you love, your copy and any images or logos. I'll start to build the site for you, checking in at scheduled intervals that we'll agree in advance.
Let's go live
You'll be added to the site as the owner, I'll train you for up to 3 hours, we'll get your accounts connected together and launch. I'll be around to support you afterwards if you need more help.

Can you write my website copy for me?
You will need your copy and images ready when we start. If that’s not possible, let me know before we work together. I can develop your copy with you or, if it is a specialist topic I can put you in touch with some fantastic copy writers I love working with.
Can you move content over from another site for me?
Yes, of course. This can include audio, video, text and images. I’ll need access to your old files or content supplied by you. If you need help with SEO, I can provide support for this and also contract to specialists.
Do you provide Wix or other platforms?
I’m actively focusing on Squarespace 7.1 right now and working with Shopify. However I am an experienced in coding (and part of Women Who Code) and a WordPress designer, working with developers and hosting companies. I do not provide support for Wix or Weebly at this time .
Can you look at my website and provide UX feedback?
Yes. I can review your website so you can make improvements as part of the power hour package. This includes fonts, hotspots, images, alignment and page hiercharhy.
