Branding and Squarespace website design with training: World Childless Week

Stephanie and I met via Twitter last year through shared interests. When she asked Hello Lovely to help her with a branding for the global World Childless Week, I was delighted to get involved.
World Childless Week was founded in 2017 to great success, trending many times over September during Twitter. During this first campaign, Steph realised that many people were creating their own branding which diluted the impact and meant that the media were uncertain who was the founder. A clear branding message and logo is a great way to keep the visual identity of a campaign on track and gather accurate data.
After lengthy and entertaining chats on Zoom, as Steph lives in the Midlands, we established the concept of the logos which was formed around a forget-me-not flower. The branding had to fulfil a global market so the flower was very stylised so that it could be seen as generic but also had a story behind it.
The narrative for the brand was themed around storytelling since World Childless Week is specifically created to bring awareness to the many men and women who are involuntarily childless. Thus it had to be sensitive to those affected but also appeal to the wider world if the messages are to make the impact Steph hoped they will in the first run out of the branding this year.
In addition to the logo, Steph commisioned Hello Lovely to build a new website and provide training and ongoing support, something we're happy to quote for. We recommended Squarespace which is a great, easy to use platform with many benefits to the owner who doesn't want the intensive updates of WordPress and, after looking at both options, Steph was happy to take our recommendation and the build began.
The 2017 site held a lot of content which Steph wanted to make more visual in her new design and one area we need to address was how to load the 2017 content and store it so it was easy to find. We also made sure the site was mobile friendly, quick to load with a good SEO structure.
Finally, we did a handover with Steph so she could load up her own content and showed her how to add new pages too. As with all our clients, we are on hand to offer support as required.
